The organisation has grown out of the Multistakeholder Forum initiative of Open Estonia Foundation during 2004-2006 when the framework for CSR in Estonia was developed based on round-table events and seminars that involved various stakeholders from public, private and civil sectors. Building on outcomes of the multistakeholder dialogue, Responsible Business Forum in Estonia continues its action through fostering CSR-related initiatives as well as providing the related consultation. As a competence centre Responsible Business Forum in Estonia unites the network of specialists of the field that can contribute with their knowledge and experience to supporting and providing consultation to various CSR-related initiatives.
On 9th February 2009 Responsible Business Forum in cooperation with Estonian Business School and Business Newspaper Äripäev launched the 2nd Corporate Responsibility Index in Estonia. This year companies will be publicly ranked based on their performance. Estonia joins CSR360 Global Partner Network Responsible Business Forum in Estonia is now a partner in the CSR360 Global Partner Network. CSR360 (www.csr360gpn.org) is a network of independent organisations, who work at the interface of Business and Society to mobilise business for good. Businesses invited to participate at Tallinn’s Responsible Entrepreneurship Award Tallinn City Council has launched the competition for its Responsible Business award 2008. which aims to recognise the outstanding responsible entrepreneurs, especially their social and environmental innovation and entrepreneurship. |
